About Solbox
A small, independent iPhone app for people whose attention gets louder in silence.

Solbox is an iPhone app of focus sounds and noises with a Pomodoro timer built in. It was designed first for ADHD brains, and for anyone who has watched forty minutes vanish in a quiet room or lain awake at 2 a.m. with a thought stuck on a loop.
Why Solbox exists
Many people with ADHD say the same thing: silence is the hardest place to concentrate. A steady sound gives the brain something to hold on to, so the next stray thought doesn’t win. Most sound apps, though, bury that sound behind loud onboarding, endless menus and big promises.
Solbox goes the other way. One tap on Focus starts your sound, your volume and your timer. No decisions, no ten-tap menus, no pseudoscience.
What’s inside
- Noise colors and textures: white, brown, pink, green, grey, blue and violet noise, plus warm and bright Solbox textures. See all noise colors.
- Body doubling sounds: café, office, restaurant, keyboard and pencil ambience for the feeling of working next to someone. See body doubling sounds.
- A Pomodoro timer: 25/5, 50/10, 90/20 or custom, with the countdown on your Lock Screen. See the Pomodoro timer.

How we talk about sound
Sound can make a room feel calmer and a task feel easier to start. It is not medicine. Solbox is not a medical device and is not a treatment for ADHD, anxiety, insomnia, tinnitus or any other condition, and we will never claim otherwise.
On this site and in the app we describe what a sound is like and how people use it, link to research where it exists, and say so when the evidence is thin or mixed. Solfeggio tones and binaural beats are offered as listening options, nothing more.
Who makes Solbox
Solbox is an independent app published on the App Store by Taras Chernysh, an iOS developer. The app is available in 22 languages and is updated regularly based on feedback from the in-app feature request board.
