Privacy Policy

Welcome to Solbox (“Solbox”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when using the Solbox app (“Focus Sounds & Noises - Solbox” on the App Store) and this website, solbox-sounds.app.

Solbox is owned and operated by Taras Chernysh, an independent developer.

1. Information we collect

a. Personal information

We do not collect personally identifiable information unless you explicitly provide it — for example, when you contact us for support or submit feedback.

b. Usage data

We automatically collect limited technical and usage information, including:

  • Device type, operating system version, and language
  • In-app events (such as session start, sounds played, timer usage)
  • Subscription and purchase status
  • Crash reports and diagnostic data

c. Analytics and attribution tools

We use the following third-party SDKs to improve the app and measure marketing performance:

  • Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics — to analyze aggregate usage patterns and detect crashes.
  • Mixpanel — to understand user behavior and improve the product experience.
  • AppsFlyer — for mobile measurement and campaign attribution.
  • GoMarketMe — for affiliate and influencer campaign attribution.

These services may collect device identifiers (including IDFA when permission is granted), app interaction events, and diagnostic information. They process data under their own privacy terms (see Section 5).

d. Services that run app features

  • RevenueCat — processes subscription and purchase status so your Solbox Pro access works across reinstalls. Payments themselves are handled by Apple; we never see your card details.
  • OneSignal — delivers reminders and notifications you allow. It receives a device push token.
  • Firebase Remote Config and Cloud Firestore — deliver app settings and store the ideas and votes you post on the in-app feature request board.
  • AI sound effects — when you generate a sound, the text prompt you type is sent to our server (hosted on Cloudflare) and passed to ElevenLabs, which creates the audio. Don’t include personal information in prompts.

2. App Tracking Transparency

On first launch, we ask your permission to track activity using Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework. You can change your choice at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. If you decline, our attribution SDKs will not access your IDFA, and tracking-based features will be limited accordingly.

3. This website

solbox-sounds.app uses no cookies, no advertising trackers and no third-party scripts. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies or cross-site tracking. Cloudflare, our hosting provider, processes basic request data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.

4. How we use your information

We use collected data to:

  • Provide and personalize app functionality
  • Improve performance, stability, and user experience
  • Understand which features are used and how
  • Measure the performance of marketing and affiliate campaigns

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects.

We do not sell your personal information. Data collected through the services listed above is processed by those providers under their own privacy terms:

We retain usage data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, or as required by applicable law. Crash logs and aggregated analytics are typically retained for up to 14 months.

7. Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Request access to the data we hold about you
  • Request correction or deletion of your data
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Opt out of tracking via iOS Settings (see Section 2)
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

You can also turn off notifications in iOS Settings → Notifications → Solbox at any time. To exercise these rights, email us at the address in Section 10.

8. Children’s privacy

Solbox is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and notify you within the app or via App Store release notes.
